Lev Manovich's The Language of New Media is considered to be the most important theory of new media. This book is a lithuanian translation of it. It was tried to make the book as user friendly as possible, considering the size, legibility etc. as we expect users to use it for a long time. Legibility has become extremely important, thinking of the fact that the book contains
almost 500 pages of text. In the mean time, it was tried to avoid a monotonous flow of text that is usually found in text books, thus a more dynamic approach to typography was used in some places where readers eyes could 'rest' a little bit from tiny text letterforms.
The whole book was printed in one colour. This book was a challange of achieving high standart and quality design with the minimum amount of expenses. I believe that these days when bookstores are filled with many dull looking text books, this book will not only attract customers attention but will also become part of many people's reading lists.

Content page of the book was turned into a bookmark to improve the navigation and avoid going back to the first pages of the book every time certain information must be found. ( Please note that the content page was also included in the main body of
the book ).

The book was printed in Lithuania. Paper used: Plano Plus 80g + Art Focus 330g + Munken Polar 190g.
Print: Offset + Silk Screen
